Man, I don’t know what I’ve got to do to get the fish to bite but it wasn’t happening. I woke up feeling rather miserable. I think I have a cold. I warmed up to the day slowly. After some brekkie I started fishing and relaxed. I seem to be slightly better. I fished for hours and didn’t get a single nibble. Argh! I met various other fishermen and they all conceded: they ain’t biting!
Me and John decided to make a couple miles into Idaho! We crossed over and went to the Gateway To Hells Canyon cafe/motel/store. They were full up but after asking politely they had no issue with us parking our tents on the front lawn.
The view of Hells Canyon as we biked to the Gateway was fantastic! We had a deer go right by us, too.
