We had a pretty good 4000′ climb for us first thing in the morning. Some Honduran guys kept buying John drinks the night before. His hangover and my recovery evened us out a bit. We had some light snow but overall a good climb.
After climbing this vertical beast we zoomed on in to Grangeville. We had a couple errands to run. By the time we were ready to hit the road the snow had caught up with us. And it was a LOT of snow.
Having never attempted biking in a heavy flurry before, it’s actually not that bad. The main problem is actually seeing what the heck is going on. We had to take the day off.
People sometimes think that what I’m doing has a real element of danger. Occasionally that’s true, as motorists are not always polite. But as far as meeting people, you’d be amazed at how outgoing people can be. Today at The Gallery, the owner took me in from the heavy snow and gave me a coffee and a freshly baked cookie! It was such a beautiful gesture. I’m happy to have so many opportunities to have these life-affirming moments.
So Wolverine: Origins was pretty fun! Grangeville has a couple nice perks about it, including a very nice looking movie theater. I picked up my first movie in a while, a welcome diversion.
