Due to the problems on the mountains earlier today had a fair amount of delays. I had to repair my brakes to the point that I could get to Sisters. I also ripped my trousers yesterday and had to sew them up. Strangely I brought a sewing kit( thanks paola) but not spare brakes.
I made it to Sisters without issue, and spent a good amount of time in Eurosports fixing my bike. The repairman there, Jason, was extremely helpful. I must have bugged him with all manner of questions but he was very patient with me. We also chatted about 80s musice, mortgages, and the state of the economy. He really went above and beyond, so I got him some chinese takeout. 🙂
Finally I was on the road about 2pm! I had over 50 miles to cover. They were all flat and I zoomed right through them! A beautiful ride through the valleys between plateaus.
I arrived at ohoco lake and found my spot. Tomorrow is a rest day, and so I’m going to rest and learn how to fish! The campground host is going to lend me a spare rod and I’ll see how it goes!

When your Dad and I fished in Wisconsin. We were sure there were mechanical fish jumping at the resort we stayed at. Beware of mechanical fish. They do not bite. They are there only to taunt you. I could not interest him in fishing. That is why you never fished as a child. He only had the boat for water sports that you never seemed to like. I ,on the other hand, had some wonderful fishing experiences as a child. I hope you like the experience. But remember… what do you do with a fish when you catch it? Call me.MOMxxxoooxxx
I want to hear how your fishing adventure went! Are you going to blog about it? 🙂
Me too.momxxxoooxxx
Oh wows, it sounds like you are having quite the adventure already! I should start training and meet up with you after I graduate! 😛 I hope you catch a big fish and eat it for some protein! I like fishing, but all I caught was a tree. 🙁 Be safe, those road trolls can be nasty sometimes.
What adventures you’re having! Hope the fishing went well..
