Another state down, Missouri! Woohooooo~~~~ Yes, and now that its gone I miss it! Well, maybe the second part. 🙂 I really enjoyed the hills, even though they could be really intense.
I passed over into Illinois over the Mississippi river…and immediately got a flat. A rusty nail had been waiting there for perhaps ten years for my tire. And it’s probably been longer than that since maintenance has been done on that bridge!
I keep meeting lots of cyclists, I figured that they would all be west of me but nope! 🙂
Illinois is very pretty. The rural landscape is very manicured, the farmers seem to take pride in its ceaseless grooming. The traffic varies from absent to heavy. And the corn grows really really tall.
I will be in Kentucky here in two days. I found out that the Hills that are my namesake come from Evansville, Kentucky. My grandfather Ulysses Grant Hill was a baseball player, and moved from Evansville to play for the farm team for the White Sox in Chicago. That explains why I’m sukch a hillbilly! I’m going to have to buy more git’r’done t-shirts. 😛

Well I’m glad to see that the rashes are going away. I was begining to think you’d contracted the T-virus and you were going to start craving brains.
Ulysses, hehe. What a great name! 😀
Good to see you’re still smiling!
Gotta keep smiling, even when it’s freaking hot! :O
Yes, I think that there should be more kids named after favorite presidents. What do you think of Barack Obama Hill?
Hehe, I do love brains…
LOL! uhmmm… 😉
