Day 3: Grand Ronde
Distance: 67 miles avg: 11.6 As a desert-dweller I don’t cope well with cold And rain. My main problem seems to be staying dry. Your body sweats loads in the desert but you don’t notice it. Training day 16: picacho campground
Distance 53 average 11.9 I feel like I’ve been living in the camping dark ages. This gear I bought yesterday shedded 10-15 pounds off my load! And it’s better gear! And it’s smaller! This morning I did a repack, and put in some new gear. I was able to pick up a new sleeping bag…

Training Day 18: Zooooom!
Distance: 72 miles average 12.6 Today I remembered what it’s like to ride without a lot of wind. I was able to get a lot of miles in without too mch trouble. No exciting destinations today, just my mom’s house and saguaro national park. It’s exciting because I did the whole day without much discomfort…
